According to a report by Mathrubhumi, Vismaya questioned the govt while supporting the CJP (Cockroach Janata Party)-led protest in Delhi. Sharing a note on one of her social media handles, Vismaya wrote, "Each of us should ask ourselves what kind of democracy we are heading towards if, instead of discussions, we suppress those who raise their voices for their needs. My question to you is simple. Do you really believe that this is how our own citizens should be treated?"

Soon after this, Vismaya's statement caused a stir among some of the netizens. As per the same report, her opinion triggered massive hate remarks on Facebook. Reacting to her statement, one of the users commented, "If you ask your father what's going on with Prithviraj, he'll tell you," while another wrote, "Did anyone advise you to suddenly have a sense of citizenship and make some responses to attract people to the film?"

Meanwhile, a third user wrote, "I'm very happy that those who were silenced when they killed poor people in Pahalgam by asking about religion have now regained their ability to speak." There were also some brutal remarks like "Those who support those who are waging riots in the country, be careful", "They support terrorists", and "Some children will become their father's enemies."

Born in March 1991 to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and his wife Suchitra Balaji, Vismaya Mohanlal is a multifaceted artist. She is also an author and has published the book titled 'Grains of Stardust'.

Vismaya has also forayed into Malayalam cinema as an assistant director with Mohanlal's 2025 film Barroz. And now, she is all set to make her acting debut with Jude Anthany Joseph's upcoming film 'Thudakkam'.
