Gatta Kusthi 2 Box Office Collection Day 11: Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi-starrer Gatta Kusthi 2 registered a drop in collections at the domestic box office on its second Monday. The Tamil sports romantic comedy, which hit theatres on July 3, continued its theatrical run on Day 11 with a slowdown after recording stronger earnings over the second weekend.
According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Gatta Kusthi 2 collected an estimated ₹0.83 crore India net on Day 11 (Monday, July 13). With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹31.91 crore, while its India gross stands at ₹36.64 crore. The film has collected ₹7.95 crore from overseas markets so far, taking its worldwide gross to ₹44.59 crore. The latest figures indicate a steep fall from Sunday's performance. After earning ₹3.70 crore on Day 10, the film's Monday business declined by 77.6%, which is a common trend for many theatrical releases following the weekend. The sequel opened with ₹2.70 crore on its first Friday before witnessing healthy growth over the opening weekend. It collected ₹4.95 crore on Saturday and ₹6.20 crore on Sunday, helping it finish its first weekend on a strong note. The film then saw expected weekday declines, collecting between ₹1.75 crore and ₹2.35 crore during the remainder of its first week. Its first-week India net collection closed at ₹22.10 crore. The second weekend provided another boost, with the film earning ₹1.85 crore on Friday, followed by ₹3.43 crore on Saturday and ₹3.70 crore on Sunday. However, the momentum slowed on the second Monday as collections dropped below the ₹1 crore mark. With Day 12 (Tuesday, July 14) currently in progress, attention will now shift to the film's weekday collections ahead of its third weekend. Gatta Kusthi 2 is a Tamil sports romantic comedy-drama written and directed by Chella Ayyavu. Serving as the sequel to the 2022 film Gatta Kusthi, it is jointly produced by Ishari K.
