Idhayam Murali Advance Booking Opens: Advance ticket bookings for Idhayam Murali, starring Atharvaa in the lead role, have officially commenced ahead of the film's theatrical release on July 10, 2026. The Tamil coming-of-age romantic drama is one of the notable releases arriving in cinemas this week and marks the directorial debut of producer Aakash Baskaran, who has also backed the project under the Dawn Pictures banner.
With two days remaining until its theatrical release as of July 8, advance bookings are now live across several cinema chains and online ticketing platforms. Idhayam Murali features Atharvaa in the title role, with Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan playing the female leads. The supporting cast includes Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar, Pragya Nagra, Angeline, Anju Kurian, Yashashree and Jonita. Actor Fahadh Faasil is also set to make a special cameo appearance in the film. Apart from composing the soundtrack, Thaman S returns to acting after more than 22 years. Idhayam Murali marks his first on-screen appearance in over two decades while he continues his work as a music composer. The technical crew includes cinematographers Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai, while editing has been handled by Pradeep E. Ragav. The production design is by M.R. Karthik Rajkumar, with dialogues written by Ramanagirivasan and additional dialogues by Aakash Baskaran and Dravid Selvam. Vivek has penned the lyrics for the songs. The project also brings together a sizeable behind-the-scenes team, including choreographer Anusha Viswanathan, co-director LK Senthilkumar, costume designers Pallavi Singh and Meenakshi N, VFX supervisor Praveen D, and sound designers Suen G and Alagiakoothan.
