Idhayam Murali Box Office Collection Day 5: Atharvaa's Tamil coming-of-age romantic drama Idhayam Murali continued its theatrical run on Tuesday, July 14, with collections slowing after a stronger opening weekend. Released in cinemas on July 10, the film is directed by Aakash Baskaran, who also serves as its writer and producer under the Dawn Pictures banner.
According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, Idhayam Murali earned an estimated ₹1.23 crore India net on Day 5 (Tuesday). With this, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹11.93 crore, while its India gross collection stands at ₹13.72 crore. The film has also maintained a presence in overseas markets. As per Sacnilk, it has collected ₹4 crore overseas gross, taking its worldwide gross collection to ₹17.72 crore after five days in theatres. Tuesday's earnings reflected an 18% decline from Monday's India net collection of ₹1.50 crore. According to Sacnilk's tracking data, the film registered an overall occupancy of 22% on Tuesday, compared to 24% on Monday. Based on Sacnilk's estimates, the film's India net collections so far are as follows: Day 1 (Friday): ₹1.90 crore Day 2 (Saturday): ₹3.50 crore Day 3 (Sunday): ₹3.80 crore Day 4 (Monday): ₹1.50 crore Day 5 (Tuesday): ₹1.23 crore This takes the film's cumulative India net collection to ₹11.93 crore after five days of theatrical release. Idhayam Murali is a Tamil coming-of-age romantic drama directed, co-written and produced by Aakash Baskaran in his feature directorial debut. The film stars Atharvaa in the lead role alongside Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan. The supporting cast includes Natty Subramaniam, Ramki, Thaman S, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar, and Pragya Nagra, while Fahadh Faasil appears in a cameo role. The project also marks Thaman S's return to acting after more than two decades. Besides appearing in the film, he has also composed its music. The technical crew features Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai as cinematographers, while Pradeep E. Ragav has handled the editing. M.R.
