Shweta Tiwari Is Returning To Theater After A Long Break With Jab We Separated

Television actress Shweta Tiwari will be back in action soon. She is returning to theater with Rakesh Bedi's penned and directed piece 'Jab We Separated'. In an interview with Times of India, Shweta talked about performing in front of a live audience after a long break. The actress said, "Many years ago, I did a play at Prithvi Theatre and there a director spotted me and offered me 'Rishtey'. That's how my TV career started and after 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', there has been been no looking back."

Praising the director of Jab We Separated, she said, "After a long hiatus, I am returning to theater with 'Jab We Separated' and it is especially since it was Rakeshji who offered me this challenging role. Every actor has their limitations and weaknesses, but not every actor is capable of rectifying their mistakes, and that's exactly what Rakesh ji taught me."

Shweta further added that working with Rakesh brings the best in an actor. But, impressing him is a task apparently. Jab We Separated also features the director Rakesh himself besides Rahul Bhuchar. The story revolves around the lives of modern-day couples who are stuck in the tapestry of mistrust.

Talking about the subject of the play Rakesh said, "Divorce today is one of the most burning social issues in our society. The play explores discord in matrimony and how young couples today have lost faith in the concept of love, compassion and forgiveness. "The court gives the warring couples six months to reconcile. But do they really work on it? In this play we try to find answers to such questions."

On the personal front, in a recent interview, Shweta revealed that her daughter Palak Tiwari was approached to play the role of Prerna in Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2, but she refused to be a part of it, as she is currently in the 12th standard and focusing on her academics.

She also went on to praise Palak saying she's an amazing daughter who never demands anything from her. She also follows the deadlines set by her mother unlike other teenagers.
