Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 has been grabbing headlines for one or the other reason. Recently, the lead actress of the original show, Shweta Tiwari (seen as Prerna) revealed that her 17-year-old daughter Palak Tiwari was approached to play her role in the reboot version. After a few days, the producer, Ekta Kapoor, reacted to the news and wrote, "Aaah reaaaaaly?????????? How come I don't know." -(sic) The actress, who was recently seen in Delhi for her play Jab We Separated, clarified about the confusion.
Shweta was quoted by HT as saying, "Ekta never offered anything. It was the Balaji people - we were at someone's house who works in Balaji, at a very prestigious position, and they said, 'If we offer Palak Kasauti will you let her do it?'So I said 'I'll have to ask her first'."
The actress further added, "When I went home I asked Palak whether she was interested, but she said she can't do a daily soap because it involves too many hectic hours and also that she was studying. So that's it!" Shweta, who bagged Bigg Boss 4 trophy, also had to say something about the reality show. She told the leading daily, "I don't watch Big Boss that often. It's only when I'm home and someone from my family is watching it that I do. To be very honest, Bigg Boss is very entertaining and people keep talking about what has happened. But when I sit to watch, I don't know what to believe because I know a lot of it is edited. Many times, long conversations are only shown as two lines in the show, which then leads to misunderstandings." Coming back to Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2, the show is all set to premiere on September 25, 2018. The show features Erica Fernandes as Prerna and Parth Samthaan as Anurag Basu. Apparently, the show is close to Ekta and she is leaving no stones unturned to make it special. The producer had roped in the King of Romance, Shahrukh Khan, to introduce Prerna and Anurag. We also revealed that Ekta Kapoor is promoting the show in a unique way. Many popular television and film actors promoted the show in 10 cities to unveil the statue of love of Prerna and Anurag (Erica and Parth).
