Earlier today, reports of Rohit Chandel being arrested in an alleged POCSO case took over the internet, sending shockwaves among fans. According to TOI, the actor allegedly stalked, abused and harassed a 16-year-old teenage girl, and following the complaint, Chandel was detained by the police from his residence in Dasihar on Friday (July 10).

Rohit Chandel, who is currently being seen in the ongoing Star Plus serial 'Sairaab', is all over the news over his arrest in the POCSO case for allegedly stalking, harassing and physically abusing a teenage girl. Meanwhile, as the investigation is currently underway, one of actor's past relationships regarding the publicized breakup controversy has re-entered the spotlight. Previously, Rohit Chandel was in a relationship with his Kashibai Bajirao Ballal co-star Farnaz Shetty. Their highly publicized breakup in early 2023 made headlines after the actress accused Chandel of cheating on her. According to Shetty, she caught him red-handed with another woman. She further alleged that when confronted, the actor admitted to his actions and begged for forgiveness. Speaking about it, Farnaz told ETimes, "Conflicts arose soon after we started dating. Once, I caught him with another girl. He confessed to cheating on me and begged for forgiveness. Though I forgave him, I began to develop trust issues." "Eventually, I ended the relationship in March. I couldn't tolerate the infidelity. I am old school and cannot be in an open relationship. I am a one-man woman and expect the same from my partner," she further added. However, later, Rohit Chandel had dismissed the cheating accusations and called them "false". "I have never cheated on her. Farnaz accompanied me to my sister's wedding in my hometown. If I wasn't serious about our relationship, why would I make her meet my family? These allegations are false," he told TOI. Born in September 1991, Farnaz Shetty is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi and Telugu serials.
