Akkineni Akhil's latest action thriller titled 'Agent' under the direction of Surender Reddy is finally gearing up to release all over the world. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on April 28.

The movie has been in post-production for quite some time, although the filming was completed a long time ago. During COVID and Surender Reddy's hospitalization, the filming was delayed by a year or so. After the shooting was completed, it took another year for the film to finally book a release slot.

The agent was extensively shot at Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad, Budapest, and Manali. Ahead of the film's release, the makers released a trailer on April 18. Within 24 hours of the film's trailer release, it clocked 10.54 Million views and gained about 192.1 K likes, according to the information available on the fan pages. However, the fan pages pointed out that the film's teaser got a great reach and views more than its trailer.

Surprisingly, Mammootty stole the entire limelight in the trailer. Fans of the actor as well as moviegoers couldn't help but express their love and appreciation for the 70-year-old actor for his portrayal of the character in Agent.

It is now to be seen if Agent enthralls the fans of the Akkineni family and film-buffs at the theatres after its release. As per the sources, Agent is the movie about a RAW agent who is assigned to bring down a crime syndicate headed by the 'The God.' But, when Station Master NSG Colonel Mahadev orders the Agent to kill him, the Agent has to embark on a wild ride to investigate the blue notice.
