Rating:
3.0/5
Star Cast: Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Viraj Ashwin, Naga Babu
Director: Sai Rajesh

Introduction:

Anand Deverakonda-starrer romantic saga written and directed by Sai Rajesh, Baby, finally hit the screens worldwide amid huge expectations to an amazing reception from the fans and film buffs. The makers of the film have taken the expectations of this film a bit higher with the trailer.

Story:

Anand (Anand Deverakonda) and Vaishnavi (Vaishnavi Chaitanya) are high school love birds. They are deeply in love for no solid reason; live in opposite houses in a Basthi. Vaishnavi's drunkard and good-for-nothing father (Naga Babu) and her opportunist mother buy an engineering seat for her in a premier college. All is well between the teenage lovers until Vaishnavi gets introduced to party culture, fashion, and an entire world of enticements by her friends.

Viraj (Viraj Ashwin), a rich and handsome lad, surprisingly, takes a liking to Vaishnavi, a dull and brown-skinned village belle kind of girl. Meanwhile, Vaishnavi is smitten by the world around her and indulges in parties, booze, pubs, and Western wear much to the chagrin of Anand. Despite continuous warnings from Anand, Vaishnavi gets herself neck-deep in trouble which leads her to take that extreme step with Viraj. What happens next? is to be seen on the big screen.

Performances:

Anand Deverakonda makes you smile, whine, and cry with his heart-warming acting and nuances. He aptly fits the role of a sincere and jolted lover. The way his character was written connects straight with the youth, who cheered for his character as they feel through his emotions.

Vaishnavi Chaitanya is the hero of the movie and has an author-backed role to showcase her mettle once and for all, with one single role in the movie Baby. And how? The actress just cake-walked through it all, in addition to looking adequate and pretty on the screen. Viraj Ashwin is decent in his role and has a bit more than a usual side-kick.

Technical Aspects:

Music- both songs and background score are the heart of the Baby movie, without which, the movie is just a bland dish. Vijay Bulganin already won over the love and appreciation for his soulful compositions.

MN Bal Reddy's cinematography is fresh and breathes life into the scenes, finely tuned and complimented by the score. Viplav Nyshadam as the editor and the rest of them have put their heart and mind into making the movie a delightful watch.

Director Sai Rajesh strikes a chord with youngsters and film buffs with his writing, screenplay, narration, and the entire way he handled this project and the story. He made an honest attempt in showcasing various aspects and emotions of a teenage girl in Vaishnavi's character. Some of the dialogues have come out very well.
