Jawan Box Office Collection Day 17: SRK’s Film Sees Massive Jump In Third Weekend; Inches Close To 550Cr

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan has been soaring high at the box office since the first day. This Atlee directorial has been a mass entertainer which also featured Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. As Jawan has opened to rave reviews from the audience, it has been on an indomitable journey at the box office ever since.

And while Jawan managed to enter the coveted Rs 500 crore club within two weeks of release, this action drama continues to be unstoppable and is setting new benchmarks. Interestingly, the Atlee directorial has already surpassed the lifetime collection of Pathaan (Rs 525 crore) and emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film ever.

As Jawan continues to have a strong hold at the box office, it has witnessed a massive jump in the third weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan, which raked in around Rs 6.3 crores on Day 16 (Saturday), will now be earning Rs 12 crore on the third Saturday. It is reported that Jawan's overal collection during the third weekend stands at Rs 544.98 crores as of now.

It is evident that Jawan is inching towards Rs 550 crores and will cross the mark tomorrow on the third Sunday. It will be interesting to see how Jawan will fare during the third week.

Meanwhile, given the phenomenal success of Jawan, there have been reports about a sequel to the movie. Reacting to the reports, Atlee told Pinkvilla, "Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day".
