Imran Khan On Raising Daughter Alone: Imran Khan has one of greatest debuts in Bollywood that solidified his position in the industry. Although he stepped away from Bollywood even after being under limelight, his personal life remained under the radar for so many reasons. Recently, the actor opened up about raising daughter Imara all alone without the help of anyone after the divorce with ex-wife Avantika Malik.

Imran Khan On Facing Difficulties While Raising Daughter Alone

Talking to Hindustan Times, the actor said that he and his ex-wife split the week as they share joint custody of the 10 years old, he said, "I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious... rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I'm depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school."

Imran further added, "My daughter is about to be 10 years old. We split custody. I have her with me Thursday to Sunday. So we split the week. It's all settled and sorted." Speaking about his divorce, he said, "I and Avantika are legally divorced. Papers are signed. It's been a couple of years now. Again, I just didn't consider that it was anyone's business to speak of."

Imran Khan got married to his childhood sweetheart Avantika Malik during the peak of his career in 2011. However, things didn't go well and the duo called it quits in 2019 legally. Currently, the actor is in a live-in relationship with Lekha Washington. Talking about keeping the relationship hidden, the actor said, "I made a conscious effort to protect this aspect of my life, especially in the aftermath of my divorce. Divorce is always a hot topic for gossip and speculation, and I wanted to spare myself and Lekha from the ugliness and wild speculation that often accompanies such situations."

On the work front, Imran has been away from cinema owing to the problems in his personal life. However, he is reportedly all set to make a comeback with Happy Patel.
