The pre-Diwali period is always considered dull, year after year. In fact, film business is at an all-time low one week prior to the festive week. In view of the fact that the all-round sentiment is negative, Heroes opened to a 60% + start in North. The initial shows at several stations of U.P. were 75% +. By the weekend, U.P., C.I. [Madhya Pradesh] and Rajasthan were good, Punjab was better, but Mumbai was lower.
The industry is confident that the film should pick up with mouth publicity. The second release, Roadside Romeo, opened to a lukewarm response. The reports aren't encouraging either.
