Mere Baap Pehle Aap starts below average

Priyadarshan's new flick Mere Baap Pehle Aap had a below average start, opening to a 25% - 30% response at most places. The tepid start has come as a surprise since Priyadarshan has had a string of hits and even Akshaye Khanna is riding high after Race. Also, the promotion focused on comedy, a genre that's considered a safe bet in today's times. The second release of the week, Summer 2007, has had a poor start.
