The
much-awaited
Diwali
releases
witnessed
the
clash
of
two
biggies
–
Golmaal
3,
a
successful
brand,
and
Action
Replayy,
which
brings
the
triumphant
Akshay-Vipul
Shah
Jodi
after
a
hiatus.
Golmaal
3
had
managed
good
advance
bookings
prior
to
its
release
and
therefore,
the
opening
and
noon
shows
started
on
an
80%
to
90%
note
at
several
screens.
On
the
other
hand,
Action
Replayy
had
a
below
average
start
of
20%
to
30%
to
40%
across
several
screens,
which
did
come
as
a
surprise,
since
Akshay
Kumar
starrers
generally
open
to
a
good
response.
The
difference
between
the
business
of
Golmaal
3
and
Action
Replayy
was
quite
huge,
with
Golmaal
3
taking
a
big
lead
from
its
first
show
onwards.
The
releases
coincided
with
the
festivities
and
Laxmi
pooja,
which
explains
why
the
business
showed
a
decline
from
noon
till
evening
shows
on
Friday.
However,
the
business
did
show
an
escalation
during
night
shows.
The
business
is
expected
to
show
a
massive
jump
on
Saturday
and
Sunday,
and
both
Golmaal
3
and
Action
Replayy
are
expected
to
gross
very
good
numbers.
