Khatta Meetha has emerged a major disappointment in key international markets. Post Namastey London, Akshay Kumar's movies have opened to a fantastic response in the two major markets - U.K. and U.S.A. But Khatta Meetha, shockingly, is Akshay's lowest opener [post Namastey London] in U.K. as well as U.S.A. [see chart below]. In fact, the screen avaerage is lower than Tashan and Chandni Chowk To China too, which are considered box-office disasters. The film has recorded below average collections in Australia too… Punjabi film Mel Karade Rabba is faring very well in Australia and is steady in U.K.
