Bodyguard garners Rs 81 crore in four days

Though Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard has got mixed reviews, the film has given Bollywood its biggest blockbuster, in terms of collections that it made in the opening weekend.

Bodyguard, directed by Siddique that released last Wednesday, August 31st has grossed an estimate of Rs 86 crore in the first four days of its screening in India.

This has surpassed the opening week net collections of Dabangg and 3 Idiots, which until the release of Bodyguard was considered the biggest blockbusters to hit the screens.

While Dabangg starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha had grossed an estimated Rs 81 crore at the Indian box office, 3 Idiots starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor fetched Rs 80 crore in the first week of release.

Considering that Bodyguard was made with a budget of approximately Rs 60 crores, going by the box office collections, this one is sure 'paisa vasool' for the filmmakers of Bodyguard.
