Shahrukh Khan's Ra.One might have failed to beat the opening day record of Salman Khan's Bodyguard at Indian Box Office. But the superhero movie has received a good beginning in the International collection centres. Shahrukh-Kareena starrer has created a history at overseas Box Office.
Salman's Bodyguard was released in nearly 500 threatres overseas and had grossed Rs 5 crores in five countries in three days. Whereas science fiction Ra.One has debuted in record number of screen (1500 theatres) in International market and it has created history by collecting Rs 6.5 cr overseas Box Office on the first day. Its collection report of many countries is yet to be revealed.
On Wednesday, Ra.One was released with 904 prints on 600 screens in Germany, 300 screens in South Korea, 25 prints in Taiwan and New Zealand, 75 prints in Russia, 79 prints in the Middle East, 344 prints in USA, 51 prints in Australia, 202 prints in the UK and 49 prints in Canada. It has grossed Rs 1.5 cr in UK, Rs 1.5 cr in USA, Rs 1 cr in UAE, Rs 60 lacs in Singapore, Rs 18.3 lacs in Australia.
However, the collection figures of Ra.One in 451 theatres has been reported. But the earning report of 1049 screens is yet to be revealed by the makers of the movie. The film has done well in Germany and South Korea on the first day of its release. Trade analysts think that the total earning in all foreign countries will be more than double of its domestic collection.
