Ready continues to rule the Box Office

By Kalyani Prasad Keshri

Not less than six films have hit the theatres last Friday, but none of them could even manage to grab the eyeballs from Salman Khan's Ready. The film dominated the market by grossing a decent figure in its third weekend also.

Bin Bulaye Baraati, which has had an across-the-board release at single screens, opened very well, specially in North India. Surprisingly, the film has overpowered all other releases, except Ready, in its opening weekend. Bheja Fry 2, which got good reviews from the critics, was expected to garner good business for the brand name it possessed from its first installment but saw a poor opening with 15% to 20% response. The film fared below expectations. Likewise, Always Kabhi Kabhi, which didn't even manage to get good reviews, opened with 10 to 15 percent response on Friday. Bhindi Baazaar Inc and Cycle Kick saw a poor note too.

Meanwhile, Ready continues to dominate the market, even after seeing six releases to mar the business. Though there was a dip in the Box Office collections from the second week, the film has managed to gross more that 100 crores, yet attaining the 'Super hit' tag. The film is expected to stay in the theaters for at least two more weeks.
