Shirish
Kunder's
latest
movie
Joker
has
turned
out
to
be
the
biggest
disaster
at
the
overseas
Box
Office.
The
first
weekend
collection
of
Akshay
Kumar
and
Sonakshi
Sinha
starrer
is
not
even
half
of
what
Akki's
previous
movies
like
Housefull
2
and
Rowdy
Rathore
had
collected
at
the
international
market.
Trade
analyst
Taran
Adarsh
says
its
opening
weekend
figures
are
lower
than
some
of
the
biggest
flops
in
overseas.
Joker
has
collected
Rs
74.08
lakhs
(£84,180)
from
60
screens
at
the
UK
Box
Office
in
the
opening
weekend.
Its
collection
seems
to
be
very
low
before
that
of
Akshay
Kumar's
previous
movies
Housefull
2
and
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
had
raked
in
£3,96,528
and
£1,45,541
from
58
and
60
screens,
respectively,
in
the
country.
Housefull
2
and
Rowdy
Rathore
had
grossed
$8,47,132
and
$3,81,784,
respectively,
at
the
USA
Box
Office
in
their
opening
weekends.
Whereas,
Joker
has
collected
Rs
56.09
lakhs
($1,01,000)
from
74
screens
in
the
country
in
its
first
weekend.
It
has
even
been
overtaken
by
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
has
raked
in
$1,52,158
from
71
screens
in
its
third
weekend.
Housefull
2
and
Rowdy
Rathore
had
scored
A$2,39,352
and
A$91,366,
respectively,
at
the
Australia
Box
Office
in
their
opening
weekends.
Now,
Joker
has
collected
Rs.
25.05
lakhs
(A$44,030)
from
14
screens
in
the
country.
Joker
has
collected
NZ$19,313
(Rs
8.57
lakhs)
from
9
screens
at
the
New
Zealand
Box-Office
in
its
opening
weekend.
In
this
country
too,
Akshay-Sonakshi
starrer
has
failed
to
come
near
the
collections
of
Housefull
2
and
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
had
raked
in
NZ$1,12,269
and
NZ$42,125,
respectively,
in
the
country.
Interestingly,
Joker
has
done
good
business
at
the
Fiji
Box
Office.
The
film
has
collected
Rs
11.79
lakhs
(FJD
38,289)
from
2
screens
in
its
opening
weekend.
Although
it
has
beaten
the
collection
of
Rowdy
Rathore
(FJD
42,283),
it
remains
to
be
a
matter
of
pride
for
the
producer
of
the
movie.
