Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Vishesh Films have a good reason to feel happy. The performance of their co-production, Blood Money has the cash register ringing at the Box Office in first week of its release. The movie has garnered Rs 6.69 crores at domestic collections centres in first four days, while it added Rs. 45 lakhs from overseas to its total collection Rs. 7.14 crores nett.
Mahesh Bhatt, who is one of the producers of Blood Money, is all thrilled by the performance of the film. In his statement, he said, “We at Vishesh Film, don’t get excited on budgets and make our films in cost-effective manner and that’s the DNA of our company." Bhatt further added that they along with and are co-producers Viacom 18 Motion Pictures understood the content well and marketed it equally interestingly and effectively, from the music launch at the yacht, to focused promotions of the movie in B Town.
The acclaimed film producer went on to say, “Smaller markets highlighted the fact that they had the same persistence and passion for the film as ours. This marriage between crisp content and brilliant marketing helped us to attain success at the Box Office of our film.”
However, the balance sheet of the film Blood Money signifies its success as a movie made within a tight budget of 4 cores has made 6 cores in its opening weekend and add on of another 6 cores for satellite and music.
