Bol Bachchan finally crosses Rs 100 crore mark at Box Office

Director Rohit Shetty's latest comedy movie Bol Bachchan starring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin in leads, has finally crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in the third week. The film has raked in Rs 100.26 crore nett at the collection centres in the country in 20 days.

Bol Bachchan opened to an overwhelming response and collected Rs 66.72 crores at the domestic Box Office in the first week. Trade analyst felt that the movie would surpass Rs 100 crore mark in the second week. But its collection was affected by Cocktail and Billa 2. The movie added Rs 22+ crores nett to its 14-day total Rs 90.93 crores nett.

The business of Bol Bachchan further went down in the third week following the grand release of English flick The Dark Knight Rises and a few other Hindi films. The movie added Rs 6.82 crore nett to its 17-day total Rs 97.75 crore nett. The breakup of its third weekend collection was Rs 1.36 cr on Fri, Rs 2.25 cr on Sat and Rs 3.21 cr on Sun.

Bol Bachchan witnessed a big drop of nearly 50% in its business on the weekdays in the third week. Ultimately, the movie joined the club of Rs 100 crore movies with its collection reaching Rs 100.26 crore nett on Wednesday. The break of its weekdays collection is Rs 91 lacs on Mon, Rs 85 lacs on Tue and Rs 75 lacs on Wed.

However, Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer Agneepath was the first film to join the league of Rs 100 crore movies in 2012. Later, other movies like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore also joined the club. Bol Bachchan has become the fourth movie to score a century and join the league.
