Cocktail effect: Bol Bachchan fails to cross Rs 100 crore mark

Despite tough competition from Eega, Bol Bachchan had done a wonderful collection at the Box Office in the first week. The movie was expected to score century at the collection centres in the second weekend. But the comedy film has failed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark. Trade analyst describe it as the effect of Cocktail and Billa 2.

Bol Bachchan had opened to an overwhelming response in the first week. The movie had set a new record at the Box Office by raking in Rs 43.10 crores in the first weekend. It had successful a run in the weekdays too, thereby adding Rs 23.62 crores nett to its first week total Rs 66.72 crores nett at the Desi Box Office.

The Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan starrer movie was to continue its rocking business in the second week. But its collection was slowed down by Saif Ali Khan's Cocktail and Ajith Kumar's Billa 2. The movie added Rs 15.63 crores nett to its 10-day total to Rs 82.44 cr nett. The breakup of its second weekend collections is Rs 3.25 cr on Fri, Rs 5.35 cr on Sat and Rs 7.03 cr on Sun.

However, Cocktail has done record breaking collection in the first weekend. The Saif-Deepika starrer has raked in Rs 36 crores at the Box Office in three days. Whereas, Tamil movie Billa 2 had a wonderful time at the collection centres in South India. The movie has collected more than Rs 25 crores nett at Box Office in the country.
