Department beaten by Ishaqzaade at the Box Office

Sanjay Dutt-Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie Department, which had opened to a dismal response, has been beaten by previous week's release Ishaqzaade at the Box Office. The movie has grossed Rs 11.8 crore nett in the first week, while the latter raked in Rs 12.45 crore nett in the second week of its release.

Department, which released on 18th May, had received negative reviews from the film critics across the country. The movie registered 15 to 30% occupancy and collected Rs 2.5 crore at the Box Office on the first day. The business remained almost same throughout the week.

Whereas, previous week's release Ishaqzaade, which features newcomers Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the leads, had collected Rs 25.73 crore at the Box Office in the first week. It continued to do well in the second week too. It added Rs 12.45 crore nett to its total collection Rs 38.18 cr nett. The breakup of its second week collection is Rs 1.77 cr on Fri, Rs 2.40 cr on Sat, Rs 3.21 cr on Sun, Rs 1.43 cr on Mon, Rs 1.29 cr on Tue, Rs 1.18 cr on Wed and Rs 1.17 cr on Thu.
