Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu earns Rs 21.25 crs at Box Office in 1st weekend

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which opened to a dismal response on Friday, has shown ample growth at the Box Office in India on the following days. The Bollywood movie has grossed approximately Rs 21.25 crores nett at the collection centres in the first weekend. But these figures are not up to the expected mark.

Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer received a good response at multiplexes in big cities, but registered poor occupancy at single screens across the country on the first day. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu concluded the day with collection of Rs 5.25 crores nett at the Box Office on Friday.

But the movie registered 50% growth in collection by grossing Rs 7.5 crores nett at the Box Office on Saturday. The business of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu even further on Sunday. The film added another Rs 8.5 crores nett to its first weekend total - Rs 21.25 crores nett at the collection centres.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is the second movie of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in 2012. His first film in 2012, Agneepath had crossed 75 crore mark in the first weekend. EMAET was expected to break that record. Despite having big star cast, massive promotion and positive reviews from critics, the movie failed to cross the first collection of Agneepath - 23 crore nett.
