Ek Tha Tiger effect: SFKTNP has dismal opening at Box Office

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi (SFKTNP) starring Boman Irani and Farah Khan in leads has opened to dull response at the Box Office in India. This much-hyped movie was expected to start with a bang at the collection centres. Trade analyst feel that the business of the romantic-comedy film has been affected by Salman Khan's latest release Ek Tha Tiger, which has continued to do well in the second week.

Bela Sehagal's debut directorial venture has had a dismal beginning at the collection windows across the country. Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi has registered 35% to 50% occupancy in single screens in the country. The movie was expected to get opening at the multiplexes, where it had a very poor occupancy, which was ranging between 15% to 35%. Its business is expected to improve in evening shows.

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is a big budget movie and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the producer of the film had made sure that it has massive promotions with its lead actors Boman Irani and Farah Khan visiting many cities in the country. The promo videos and posters had created a lot of curiosity among the movie buffs. The makers of the film are yet to realise what went wrong with the movie.

However, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's last week release Ek Tha Tiger, which had opened to an earth-shattering response in the first week, has continued to rock the viewers. The romantic-action thriller has become the first choice of the film goers in the second weekend too. It should be seen which of these two will top the weekend Box Office chart.
