Bollywood
movie
Ek
Tha
Tiger
(ETT),
which
has
continued
to
dominate
the
Indian
Box
Office,
has
overpowered
the
new
release
Shirin
Farhad
Ki
Toh
Nikal
Padi
(SFKTNP)
at
the
collection
centres.
The
business
of
the
Boman
Irani
and
Farah
Khan
starrer
film
was
severely
affected
by
the
Salman
Khan's
last
week's
film
on
the
first
day
of
its
release.
Shirin
Farhad
Ki
Toh
Nikal
Padi,
which
was
one
of
the
most-awaited
film,
opened
to
very
dismal
response
at
the
Box
Office
on
Friday.
The
Bela
Sehgal
debut
directorial
venture
registered
an
average
of
30%
occupancy
at
both
single
screens
and
multiplexes
on
the
first
day.
Although
the
movie
did
well
in
the
metros,
its
overall
collection
seemed
to
be
much
below
the
expectations
of
the
makers.
SFKTNP
is
a
big
budget
movie,
which
had
massive
promotions
prior
its
release.
The
producers
of
the
film
expected
it
to
start
with
a
bang
and
collected
Rs
5
to
8
crores
at
the
Box
Office
on
its
opening
day.
But
it
grossed
approximately
Rs
1.8
to
2
crore
on
Friday.
If
the
makers
have
to
recover
its
production
cost,
the
movie
has
to
show
big
jump
in
its
business
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
Whereas,
previous
week's
release
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
enjoyed
an
overwhelming
response
in
the
first
week,
is
still
keeping
the
bells
ringing
at
the
Box
Office
in
the
second
weekend.
The
movie
registered
an
average
of
40%
occupancy
and
added
approximately
Rs
4.53
crores
on
Friday
to
its
10-day
total
collection
Rs
158.74
crores.
It
is
likely
to
top
the
Box
Office
chart
in
the
second
weekend
too.
