Box Office: Will Jab Tak Hai Jaan cross Rs 200 crore mark?

Late Yash Chopra's last directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), which is one of most-hyped romance dramas of 2012, has become the highest grosser movie released during Diwali. The Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer has raked in Rs 170.78 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office by the end of the second weekend. Will it cross Rs 200 crore mark in the second week?

Jab Tak Hai Jaan opened to an earth-shattering response in India and collected Rs 98.41 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the 10-day-extended first week. Its business dropped down by 70% in the second week. The movie collected Rs 11.03 crores nett in its second weekend taking its 13-day total collection to Rs 109.44 crores nett in the desi market.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan also received very good response at the international Box Office. The Shahrukh-Katrina-Anushka starrer has raked in Rs 51 crores nett from its screening in countries like USA, UAE, UK, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and Fiji in the 10-day-extended first week. In the second weekend, this romantic entertainer added another Rs 10 crore to its 13-day overseas total Rs 61.34 crores.

However, Jab Tak Hai Jaan needs another Rs 30 crores to surpass Rs 200 crore mark at the global Box Office. Trade analysts feel that the movie has dipped considerably in the second weekend. With the present pace of collection, the movie will not be able to collect more than 12 crores in India and another Rs 10 crore overseas by the end of second week. Hence it will not be able to cross this mark. It may achieve this figure in the third weekend. Stay locked to this space to latest updates on its collection.
