Salman
Khan's
blockbuster
movie
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
has
collected
Rs
100+
crore
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend,
is
the
fastest
Rs
100
crore
grosser
in
the
history
of
Indian
cinema
so
far.
Now,
two
most-hyped
movies
like
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
(
JTHJ)
and
Son
Of
Sardar
(
SOS)
have
hit
the
screens
on
Diwali
day,
November
13.
Will
they
break
this
record
of
Ek
Tha
Tiger?
Bollywood
trade
Pandits
say
there
are
chances
for
them
to
set
a
new
record.
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
starring
Shahrukh
Khan,
Anushka
Sharma
and
Katrina
Kaif
in
leads,
has
released
on
2,500+
screens
in
India,
while
Son
Of
Sardar
featuring
Ajay
Devgn,
Sonakshi
Sinha
and
Sanjay
Dutt
in
leads,
hit
2,000+
screens
in
the
country.
Both
of
them
have
bagged
decent
reviews
from
film
critics.
Despite
having
a
tough
competition,
both
movies
have
received
overwhelming
response
at
the
ticket
windows.
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
has
registered
very
good
occupancy
at
multiplexes
across
the
country,
while
Son
Of
Sardar
led
the
race
in
single
screens.
Ek
Tha
Tiger
had
collected
Rs
32.92
crore
at
the
desi
Box
Office
on
the
first
day,
but
these
two
movies
could
not
surpass
this
mark
together.
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
has
collected
Rs
15.23
crore,
while
the
latter
raked
in
Rs
10.72
crore
on
the
opening
day
of
their
release
in
the
country.
Ek
Tha
Tiger
had
witnessed
50%
dip
in
its
business
on
the
second
day.
But
interestingly,
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
has
shown
nearly
30%
growth
in
its
collection
at
the
domestic
Box
Office,
while
Son
Of
Sardar
witnessed
60%
increase
in
its
business
on
the
second
day.
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
has
collected
Rs
19.54
crores
on
Wednesday
taking
its
two-day
total
to
Rs
34.77
crores,
while
the
latter
added
Rs
16.21
crores
its
two-day
total
Rs
26.93
crores.
However,
Ek
Tha
Tiger
had
five-day
extended
weekend,
whereas
these
two
new
releases
have
six
day
extended
weekend.
Looking
at
the
current
pace,
one
can
say
that
Jab
Tak
Hai
Jaan
will
surely
cross
Rs
100
crore
mark
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend.
But
the
same
is
not
the
case
with
Son
Of
Sardar.
It
has
to
show
a
big
jump
in
its
collection
over
the
weekend.
But
by
the
end
of
first
week
this
movie
will
also
surpass
this
mark.
