Karan's Student of the Year first day collection at Box Office

Karan Johar's latest Hindi movie Student of the Year starring Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in leads, has opened to an earth-shattering response at the Box Office in India. The Dharma Productions' most-anticipated film has set a new record at the domestic collection centres with its excellent business on the first day of its release. It's called Karan mania.

Student of the Year, which hit the screens on a grand scale on October 19, is successful in impressing the youngsters across the country. Thanks to the October holidays. This youth-oriented movie registered 100% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes. It has raked in approximately Rs 9.25 crores at the desi Box Office on its first day.

When biggies' movies like English Vinglish, Aiyyaa and Bhoot Returns have been struggling to fetch bigger numbers at the Box Office, the performance of this movie has surprised everyone in the industry.
