Director
Anurag
Basu's
movie
Barfi,
which
opened
to
fantastic
response
in
the
first
weekend,
has
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
Box
Office
in
India.
The
romantic
comedy
starring
Ranbir
Kapoor,
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Ileana
D'Cruz
in
the
leads,
has
completely
sent
down
the
collection
of
old
releases
like
Raaz
3
and
Ek
Tha
Tiger.
Ranbir
Kapoor's
Barfi,
which
released
on
1,600
screens
including
both
multiplexes
and
single
screens,
did
a
wonderful
business
at
the
desi
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend
with
its
collection
reaching
Rs
34.60
crores
nett.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
9.2
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
11.5
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
13.9
cr
on
Sun.
Barfi
continued
to
rock
the
viewers
on
the
weekdays
too.
The
positive
word
of
mouth
is
doing
wonders
for
the
movie
at
the
domestic
collection
centres.
The
film
collected
Rs
6.5
cr
on
Mon
and
Rs
6
cr
on
Tue.
It
has
raked
in
a
total
of
Rs
47.10
crores
nett
at
the
Box
Office
in
five
days.
Today
(Wednesday)
is
a
holiday
due
to
Ganesha
Chathurthi
and
Barfi
is
once
again
trending
at
the
collection
centres.
Trade
analysts
feel
that
the
movie
is
likely
to
fetch
Rs
8
to
9
crores
on
the
sixth
day
and
it
would
fetch
Rs
64
to
65
crores
nett
at
the
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
It
should
be
seen
whether
Barfi
would
beat
the
first
week
record
of
Ranbir's
last
movie
Rockstar,
which
had
collected
Rs
64
crores.
However,
the
successful
run
of
the
movie
Barfi
has
affected
the
collection
of
Raaz
3,
which
had
scored
Rs
64.40
crores
nett
at
the
Box
Office
in
India
in
10
days.
Raaz
3
has
added
Rs
1.65
cr
on
Mon
and
Rs
1.54
cr
on
Tues
to
its
12-day
total
Rs
67.49
crore
nett.
It
is
expected
to
cross
Rs
70
crore
mark
at
desi
collection
centres.
