Ranbir
Kapoor's
Barfi,
which
released
in
theatres
on
September
14,
has
overtaken
September
21
release
Kareena's
Heroine
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Its
business
in
the
third
weekend
shows
that
the
movie
would
surely
surpass
Rs
100
crore
mark
at
the
domestic
collection
centres
in
the
next
seven
days.
Barfi
had
collected
Rs
58+
crore
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
Despite
the
release
of
Heroine,
Ranbir-Priyanka-Ileana
starrer
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
at
the
ticket
windows.
Instead
of
going
down
in
its
business,
Barfi
gave
tough
competition
to
Heroine.
It
had
collected
Rs
28.55
crores
nett
in
the
second
week,
while
the
latter
raked
in
Rs
37.1
crores
nett
in
the
first
week.
However,
Barfi
overtook
Heroine
at
the
desi
collection
centres
on
its
second
Thursday.
It
had
scored
Rs
2.5
crores
on
September
27,
while
the
latter
collected
Rs
2.4
crores.
It
continued
the
same
in
the
third
weekend.
Its
collection
is
even
better
than
new
release
Kamaal
Dhamaal
Malamaal.
It
has
added
Rs
6.1
crore
to
its
17
day
total
collection
Rs
93.25
crores
nett.
Its
third
weekend
breakup
is
Rs
1.75
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
2
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
2.35
cr
on
Sun.
Meanwhile,
Heroine
was
expected
to
cross
Rs
50
crore
mark
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
the
second
weekend.
But
it
failed
to
achieve
this
figure.
Firstly,
the
movie
lost
most
of
its
screens
to
new
releases
OMG
Oh
My
God
and
Kamaal
Dhamaal
Malamaal.
Secondly,
it
has
performed
poorly
in
the
existing
screens.
It
has
added
Rs
4.5
crores
nett
to
its
10-day
total
collection
Rs
41.6
crores
nett.
Its
second
weekend
breakup
is
Rs
1
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
1.5
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
2
cr
on
Sun.
