Salman's Ek Tha Tiger scores Rs 175 cr at desi Box Office

Salman Khan's latest movie Ek Tha Tiger, which hit the screens on August 15, has topped the Indian Box Office chart in the second weekend too. The Kabir Khan directed action thriller has done an excellent collection, thereby sidelining new release Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. The film has crossed Rs 174.95 crore mark in just 12 days.

Many thought that Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi would send down the collection of Ek Tha Tiger in the second weekend, but Salmania, which was still at its peak, gave another chance to the movie to work wonders at the Box Office. Salman-Katrina romantic action movie has added Rs 21 crores to its 12-day total Rs 174.95 crore nett.

The business of Ek Tha Tiger was very low when compared to its performance at the desi Box Office on Thursday. Its collections improved by more than 40% on Saturday. But the movie witnessed a big jump in its business on Sunday. The breakup of its second weekend collection is Rs 4.55 cr on Fri, Rs 7.01 cr on Sat and Rs 9.18 cr on Sun.

However, Ek Tha Tiger has already become a blockbuster movie of the year beating records of all previous Hindi films. The movie has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide Box Office on Saturday.
