Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger scores Rs 120.84 cr at Box Office in 6 days

Director Kabir Khan's latest Hindi movie Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the leads has done wonders at the Indian Box Office. The romantic action thriller has shattered all previous collection records by raking in Rs 120.84 crores nett in just six days. It is the first film from Yash Raj banner to cross 100 crore mark.

Ek Tha Tiger has received a mind-blowing response in the opening weekend. It has become the first film to collect Rs 100.16 crores in the five day extended weekend. The breakup of its collection is Rs 32.92 cr on Wed, Rs 14.5 cr on Thur, Rs 12.90 cr on Fri, Rs 16.75 cr on Sat and Rs 23.06 cr on Sunday.

Usually, business goes down on weekdays. But due to Eid, Monday was a holiday for schools, colleges and most of the offices and this turned out to be another big day for Ek Tha Tiger, which has fetched good figures. The movie registered 85% to 100% occupancy at both Single screens and multiplexes on Monday. As per the early trends, Salman-Katrina starrer film has earned Rs 20.68 crore on the sixth day.

However, Eid happens to be a very lucky eve for Salman Khan. His previous movies like Bodyguard and Dabangg, which released during Eid festival, have turned out to be Blockbusters with its collections crossing Rs 100 crores. Now, his Ek Tha tiger has joined the league and that too in a very short span of time. It has become the fastest Rs 100 crore grosser movie.
