But
it
has
failed
to
beat
previous
week's
release
OMG
Oh
My
God,
which
has
topped
the
collection
chart,
while
this
landed
in
the
second
place.

Vinglish
opened
to
a
poor
response
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows
on
Friday
with
its
occupancy
ranging
between
15%
and
20%.
But
the
movie
bagged
rave
reviews
from
film
critics
and
a
positive
word
of
mouth
spread,
thereby
boosting
its
business
in
the
evening
shows
on
the
opening
day
of
its
release.
The
Sridevi
starrer
collected
Rs
2.51
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
on
the
first
day.
The
business
of
English
Vinglish
doubled
up
on
Saturday
and
it
further
showed
a
big
jump
on
Sunday.
It
collected

crores
nett
in
the
first
weekend
and
its
breakup
is
Rs
2.51
cr
on
Fri,

and

cr
on
Sun.

Vinglish
had
a
steep
fall
in
its
business
on
Monday,
but
it
was
not
much
low
when
compared
to
its
opening
day
collection.
The
business
of
the
film
continued
to
dip
throughout
the
week
and
it
added

7.6
crores
nett
to
its
first
week
total
Rs
21
crores
nett.
The

is
