Talaash slows down Jab Tak Hai Jaan collection at Box Office

Shahrukh Khan's recent release Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), which has been directed by late Yash Chopra, has done wonderful collection at the Indian Box Office, but the movie has witnessed a complete dip in its business in the third weekend. Trade analyst calls it the effect of Talaash, which has done a fantastic collection at the Box Office in the first weekend.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan had opened to an earth-shattering response and collected Rs 80+ crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the six-day-extended first weekend. Its business dropped considerably in the second weekend with its collection reaching Rs 19.42 crore at the desi market. Its collection reached Rs 117.83 crores nett at the domestic Box Office by the end of the second week.

Trade experts had predicted that Aamir Khan's much-awaited movie Talaash, which hit 2,500 screens in the country on November 30, would halt the business of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. As expected, it has slowed down the collection of the latter, which has added Rs 1.80 crores in the third weekend to its grand total Rs 119.63 crores nett.

However, Talaash starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in leads, has done wonderful business at the domestic Box Office. The psychological thriller has raked in Rs 47.1 crores nett at the desi collection centres in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 13.5 cr on Fri, Rs 15.5 cr on Sat and Rs 18.1 cr on Sun.
