Bollywood movie Vicky Donor has topped the Box Office chart in the first week of its release, while Housefull 2 and Hate Story graced second and third positions, respectively. All the three movies have done fare business at the collection centres across India.
Vicky Donor, which released on 20th April, received a decent opening. The movie raked in Rs 7.85 crores at the at Box Office in the first weekend. It continued to maintain its rock-steady figures on weekdays and added Rs 4.75 to its total collection Rs 12.5 crores nett in the first week.
Previous week’s release Housefull 2 slowed down its face and grossed Rs 8.75 crore at Box Office in the second weekend. The movie added another Rs 4 crore nett to its grand total Rs 12.5 crores. With this, the film has scored Rs Rs 106 cr nett by the end of second week.
Whereas, another new release Hate Story got a good response at single screens across the country. It grossed Rs 6.60 crore nett at the Box Office in the first weekend. It maintained its pace well at ticket windows and add another Rs 3.4 crores to its total collection Rs 11 crore nett.
However, this week has witnessed the release of another two big budget movies like The Avengers and Tezz. The Avengers has received superb opening, while Tezz got average response at the Box Office. Both films are sure to affect the business of the previous week’s releases.
