Chennai Express 2nd Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

Chennai Express starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in leads, has continued its rocking run at the overseas Box Office in the second week. The Rohit Shetty-directed movie has once again topped the international collection chart over the weekend, beating new release Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara. It is now fast heading towards Rs 100 crore mark in the foreign business centres.

In its second weekend Chennai Express has collected $ 8,93,457 from 190 screens at the USA Box Office, taking its 10 day total to Rs 25.65 crores ($ 40,14,657). The movie has raked in £ 2,55,747 from 106 screens at the UK Box Office in the second weekend. Now, its UK total stands at Rs 15.91 crores (£ 16,24,714).


The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika starrer has collected A$ 1,48,103 from 21 screens at the Australia Box Office in the second weekend and its 10 day collection stands Rs 3.86 crores (A$ 6,69,085). In the second weekend, Chennai Express has collected NZ$ 55,543 from 10 screens in New Zealand taking its total to Rs 1.14 crores (NZ$ 2,24,175). It has collected Rs 22.17 crores (AED 1,28,55,350) at the UAE Box Office and Rs 3.21 crores ($ 5,07,000) at Singapore Box Office in 10 days.

Chennai Express had collected Rs 72 crores nett at the International Box Office in the first week. In the second weekend, the movie has collected Rs 17.40 crores nett, taking its overseas total to Rs 89.40 crores ($ 14.16 million), which is said to be the all time highest collection in the foreign market. Its collection is expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the overseas Box Office in the third weekend.
