Chennai Express 3rd Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express has continued its dream run at the Overseas Box Office in the third week. The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, which remained completely unaffected by the new release Madras Cafe, has once again dominated the international markets for third consecutive week. It has become the second Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore mark in the international mark after Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots.

Chennai Express has collected £1,31,271 from 51 screens at UK Box Office in its third weekend and its 17-day UK total stands at Rs 19.32 crores (£19,24,900). In its third weekend, the comedy action masala movie has raked in $3,87,902 from 144 screens at the USA Box-office, taking its 17-day American total Rs 30.14 crores ($46,87,752).

The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer has collected is almost Rs 24.71 crores ($3.9 million) at the UAE Box Office in 14 days and its third weekend figures are yet to be revealed. In its third weekend, Chennai Express has collected A$57,478 from 21 screens at the Australia Box Office, taking its 17-day total to Rs 4.41 crores (A$7,59,707) in the country.

In its third weekend, Chennai Express has collected NZ$14,256 from 10 screens at the New Zealand Box Office and its 17-day total stands at Rs 1.27 crores (NZ$2,51,595). The film has raked in Rs 3.21 crores ($5,07,000) in Singapore, Rs 71.60 lakhs (EUR 84,239) in Germany, Rs 66.54 lakhs (MYR 3,45,565) in Malaysia, Rs 1.84 crores ($3,00,000) in Pakistan, Rs 16.52 lakhs (FJD 51,702) in Fiji, Rs 67.70 lakhs (PEN 3,08,216) in Peru and Rs 16.49 lakhs (NOK 1,57,498) in Norway.

Chennai Express got released in a few other foreign countries, but the data of its collection in those countries are not available. As per Bollywood trade experts, the movie has collected Rs 100+ crores nett at the overseas Box Office in 17 days. It has become second all time highest grosser in the international market after 3 Idiots, which is holding the top position with its foreign business Rs 150+ crores nett.
