Fast And Furious 6 outshines IIP, HHRCK at Box Office

Mumbai: Three much-hyped Hindi movies Ishkq In Paris (IIP), Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke (HHRCK) and Zindagi 50:50, which have hit the screens across the country, have opened to lukewarm response at the Indian Box Office. They are facing tough competition from the Hollywood film Fast & Furious 6, which has begun with an earth-shattering note. Trade experts say that the English film will top the desi collection chart.

Ishkq In Paris, Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke and Zindagi 50:50 are among the highly-anticipated Hindi movies of 2013. Especially, the Preity Zinta starrer was expected to dominate the weekend business. But it has registered 10%-15% occupancy in the morning and matinee shows. Remaining two movies have also met with the same fate. They are expected to pick up in the evening and night shows.

Whereas Fast And Furious 6, the latest installment in Fast And Furious franchise, has opened to overwhelming response in paid previews in Indian on Thursday. It is surely taking a toll on new Hindi releases in the country. It has had 65%-75% occupancy in the morning and matinee shows in the country today (Friday). Its business is likely to go up in the late shows. It is surely going to be the biggest Hollywood opener in India.
