New
Bollywood
release
Inkaar
starring
Arjun
Rampal
and
Chitrangada
Singh
in
leads,
has
topped
the
collection
chart
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend,
pushing
down
last
week's
release
Matru
Ki
Bijlee
Ka
Mandola
(MKBKM)
to
the
second
place.
But
other
two
new
releases
Mumbai
Mirror
and
Bandook
have
done
very
poor
collection
at
the
domestic
collection
centres
in
their
opening
weekend.
The
much-hyped
movie
Inkaar,
which
had
huge
amount
of
promotions,
opened
to
a
dull
response
on
the
first
day
of
its
release
with
its
occupancy
ranging
between
20-30%.
The
movie
was
expected
to
show
a
big
jump
over
the
weekend.
It
did
improve
its
collection,
but
it
was
not
upto
the
mark.
It
has
collected
Rs
6.35
crores
nett
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
in
its
opening
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
1.75
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
2.10
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
2.50
cr
on
Sun.
Matru
Ki
Bijlee
Ka
Mandola,
which
was
released
on
last
Friday,
was
once
again
seen
keeping
the
bells
ringing
at
the
cash
counters.
In
the
second
weekend,
the
Imran
Khan
and
Anushka
Sharma
starrer
witnessed
75%+
drop
in
its
business.
The
movie
has
collected
Rs
4.95
crores
nett
at
the
desi
Box
Office
in
the
second
weekend,
taking
its
10-day
total
Rs
38.10
crores
nett.
Whereas
other
new
releases
Mumbai
Mirror
and
Bandook
have
been
announced
as
disasters
at
the
domestic
Box
Office.
Both
the
movies
opened
to
a
very
dull
response
with
their
occupancy
ranging
between
5-10%.
And
they
did
not
show
any
big
improvement
in
their
collection
over
the
weekend.
Hence,
they
have
fetched
negligible
numbers
at
the
collection
centres.
