smashed
the
first
weekend
collection
record
of
John's
Blockbuster
solo
movie
Force.
With
its
expectations
soared
up
to
sky
high,
Madras
Cafe
released
in
2,000
theatres
on
August
23.
The
John
Abraham
and
Nargis
Fakhri
had
a
poor
opening
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
The
movie
registered
25%
to
35%
occupancy
in
the
morning
and
matinee
shows
on
its
opening
day,
but
it
picked
up
very
well
in
the
later
shows.
It
raked
in

crores
nett
on
the
first
day
and
smashed
the
record
of
Force,
which
had
collected
Rs
5.05
crores
on
its
opening
day.
Madras
Cafe
garnered
rave
reviews
from
almost
all
the
film
critics
and
a
powerful
word
of
mouth
took
its
business
upwards.
The
movie
collected
Rs
7
crores
on
Saturday
and
Rs
8.5
crores
on
Sunday.
With
this,
its
first
weekend
collection
stands
at
Rs
20.67
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office.
Trade
experts
say,
this
is
a
decent
business
for
the
