Raanjhanaa, Fukrey, YJHD weekend collection at Box Office

Mumbai: This weekend, it was a big clash among new releases Raanjhanaa, Shortcut Romeo, old releases Fukrey, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Man of Steel at the Indian Box Office. Of them, Raanjhanaa has done good business and topped the domestic collection chart, while Fukrey landed in the second place over the weekend.

Raanjhanaa opened to an average response with its occupancy ranging between 30% and 35% in the morning and matinee shows on Friday, but the movie picked up well in the afternoon and evening shows on the first day. The film showed big jump on Saturday and Sunday. It has collected Rs 20.08 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend. Its breakup is Rs 5.12 cr on Fri, Rs 6.81 cr on Sat and Rs 8.15 cr on Sun.

Whereas last week's release Fukrey was rock-steady and witnessed very good growth on Saturday and Sunday. In the second weekend, the movie has collected Rs 7.2 crores at the Indian Box Office, taking its 10-day domestic total to Rs 25.92 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 1.70 cr on Fri, Rs 2.50 cr on Sat and Rs 3 cr on Friday.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which had collected Rs 177.09 crores nett in 21 days, has raked in Rs 6.10 crores at the Indian Box Office in the fourth weekend, taking its 24-day domestic total to Rs 183.19 crores nett. Its breakup is Rs 1.40 cr on Fri, Rs 2.10 cr on Sat and Rs 2.60 cr on Sun. Whereas another new release Shortcut Romeo has struggled to rake in Rs 5 crores in its opening weekend.
