Race 2 1 week collection to cross Rs 100 cr at Box Office

Mumbai: Hindi movie Race 2 starring Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Anil Kapoor in leads, has continued to keep the bells ringing not only at the Indian Box Office, but also at the international collection centres. Director duo Abbas-Mastan's latest venture is all set to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide Box Office in the first week (seven days) and become the first Blockbuster of the year 2013.

Race 2 opened to a fantastic response at the domestic Box Office and collected Rs 51.35 crores nett at the first weekend. Although the movie showed drop of 55% in its business on weekdays, its collection is on par with most of the Blockbusters of 2012. As of Wednesday, the has collected Rs 19.75 crores on weekdays, taking its domestic collection to Rs 71.10 crores nett.

The much-hyped sequel to Race has also received very good response at the overseas Box Office. The movie has topped the business in foreign countries like USA, UK, UAE, Australia and New Zealand beating Kamal Hassan's much-talked about film Vishwaroopam. The movie had collected Rs 17.26 crores at the international Box Office in the first weekend and approximately Rs 5 crores on weekdays.

However, Race 2 has collected Rs 93.36 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in six days and it has one day left to conclude the first week. Trade experts feel that on Thursday, it is likely to collect Rs 5.5 crores at the domestic market and another Rs 1.5 crore overseas. If it achieve these figures on the last day of its first week, the movie would surpass Rs 100 crores nett.

It should be seen whether Race 2 would really achieve these figures or not. Stay locked to this space to know of the first week collection of Race 2.
