Mumbai:
Hindi
movie
Race
2
starring
Saif
Ali
Khan,
John
Abraham
and
Anil
Kapoor
in
leads,
has
continued
to
keep
the
bells
ringing
not
only
at
the
Indian
Box
Office,
but
also
at
the
international
collection
centres.
Director
duo
Abbas-Mastan's
latest
venture
is
all
set
to
cross
Rs
100
crore
mark
at
the
worldwide
Box
Office
in
the
first
week
(seven
days)
and
become
the
first
Blockbuster
of
the
year
2013.
Race
2
opened
to
a
fantastic
response
at
the
domestic
Box
Office
and
collected
Rs
51.35
crores
nett
at
the
first
weekend.
Although
the
movie
showed
drop
of
55%
in
its
business
on
weekdays,
its
collection
is
on
par
with
most
of
the
Blockbusters
of
2012.
As
of
Wednesday,
the
has
collected
Rs
19.75
crores
on
weekdays,
taking
its
domestic
collection
to
Rs
71.10
crores
nett.
The
much-hyped
sequel
to
Race
has
also
received
very
good
response
at
the
overseas
Box
Office.
The
movie
has
topped
the
business
in
foreign
countries
like
USA,
UK,
UAE,
Australia
and
New
Zealand
beating
Kamal
Hassan's
much-talked
about
film
Vishwaroopam.
The
movie
had
collected
Rs
17.26
crores
at
the
international
Box
Office
in
the
first
weekend
and
approximately
Rs
5
crores
on
weekdays.
However,
Race
2
has
collected
Rs
93.36
crores
nett
at
the
worldwide
Box
Office
in
six
days
and
it
has
one
day
left
to
conclude
the
first
week.
Trade
experts
feel
that
on
Thursday,
it
is
likely
to
collect
Rs
5.5
crores
at
the
domestic
market
and
another
Rs
1.5
crore
overseas.
If
it
achieve
these
figures
on
the
last
day
of
its
first
week,
the
movie
would
surpass
Rs
100
crores
nett.
It
should
be
seen
whether
Race
2
would
really
achieve
these
figures
or
not.
