Race 2 4-day-weekend collection at overseas Box Office

Hindi movie Race 2, which had a superb weekend in India, has also received fabulous response at the overseas Box Office. Despite facing competition from Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam and Punjabi film Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, the Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Anil Kapoor starrer has done wonderful collection in foreign countries and topped the business chart at the international market in the first weekend.

Race 2 has received fantastic opening in UK and Ireland. The action thriller has collected Rs 3.02 crores (£3,56,258) from 76 screens at the UK Box Office in the first weekend and its per screen average is £4,688. The movie has raked in Rs 4.77 crores ($8,84,757) from 153 screens at the USA Box Office in its opening weekend. Its per screen average is $5,783.

The Abbas-Mastan-directed flick has collected Rs 5.22 crores ($9,70,000) at the UAE Box Office in its first weekend. Race 2 has raked in Rs 1.03 crores (A$1,83,750) from 19 screens at the Australia Box Office in its opening weekend and its per screen average is A$9,671. It has grossed Rs 32.13 lakhs (NZ$71,341) from 10 screens at the New Zealand Box Office in the first weekend and its per screen average is NZ$7,134.

However, Race 2 has collected Rs 17.26 crores nett ($3.2 million) at the International Box Office in the first weekend. The action thriller movie has beaten the first weekend collection record of Saif Ali Khan's Cocktail (Rs 11.26 crores) and John Abraham's Housefull 2 (Rs 13.42 crore). Trade experts feel that Race 2 could have crossed Rs 20 crore mark overseas in its opening weekend, if Vishwaroopam and Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 had not released.
