Ram Leela First Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela has taken the overseas Box Office by storm. Considering its screen count, the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer has got much better response in the international markets than in India. The romance drama has also beaten the first weekend collection record of recent big releases like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Krrish 3.

Ram Leela has collected approximately Rs 9.67 crores (1.55 million) from 205 screens at the USA Box Office in its opening weekend. The movie has raked in approximately Rs 5.95 crores (3.5 million) at the UAE Box Office in the first weekend. It has earned Rs 3.53 crores (£348,533) from 85 screens at the UK Box Office in three days.


The Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer has collected Rs 1.53 crores nett (A$258,955) from 32 screens in Australia, Rs 27.75 lakhs (NZ$52,946) from 5 screens in New Zealand and Rs 7.56 lakhs (FJD 22,081) from 2 screens at the Fiji Box Office in the first weekend. Ram Leela has topped the business charts in all above mentioned foreign countries.

While Chennai Express (Rs 50.47 crores [$8.25 million]) topped the list, Krrish 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were in the second and third place with their first weekend overseas collections (Rs 24.86 crores [$4 million] and Rs 22.10 crores [$3.9 million]), respectively. Now, Ram Leela has collected Rs 25.04 crores ($4 million) from 550 screens at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. It has graced the second place in the highest grosser Hindi movies of 2013 in the international market.
