Special 26, ABCD 5 days collection at Box Office

Mumbai: Bollywood movies Special 26 and ABCD - Any Body Can Dance have continued to keep the bells ringing at the Indian Box Office on Weekdays. The heist drama and dance 3D film have done wonderful collection at the domestic business centres on Monday and Tuesday. These much-hyped films are fast heading towards Rs 50 crores mark.

Special 26 had collected approximately Rs 27 crores nett from 1,750 screens at the domestic Box Office in its opening weekend. The Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal starrer showed nearly 30% dip in its business on Monday, when compared to its Friday collection Rs 7 crores. It has received superb response at multiplexes when compared to single screens. Despite reduced ticket rates on weekdays, the film has raked in Rs 5 crores on Monday and Rs 4.65 crores on Tuesday, taking its 5-day desi total to Rs 36.65 crores nett.

ABCD - Any Body Can Dance had collected approximately Rs 19.5 crores nett at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend. The Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya starrer witnessed 35% drop in its collection on Monday, when compared to its first day business. This decline was largely due to the reduced-ticket rates on weekdays. The movie has raked in Rs 3.5 crores nett on Monday and Rs 3.25 crores on Tuesday, taking its 5-day domestic total to Rs 26.25 crores nett.

However, both the movies have two days left to complete the first week. If they move at the current pace, Special 26 would collect Rs 45+ crores at the Indian Box Office in the first week, while ABCD - Any Body Can Dance rakes in Rs 33 crores nett. It should be seen how they will perform on Wednesday and Thursday.
