Mumbai:
The
much-hyped
Hindi
movie
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2,
which
has
been
made
with
a
big
budget,
has
disappointed
its
makers.
The
Dharmendra,
Sunny
Deol
and
Bobby
Deol
starrer
got
eclipsed
by
previous
week's
release
Yeh
Jawaani
Hai
Deewani
and
landed
at
the
second
place
in
the
Indian
collection
chart
in
its
opening
week.
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
opened
to
a
very
good
response
in
North
India,
while
it
had
a
low
start
in
other
parts
of
the
country.
Due
to
the
poor
reviews
and
rating,
the
movie
failed
to
show
big
jump
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
The
movie
collected
Rs
22.50
crores
nett
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
its
opening
weekend.
Its
breakup
is
Rs
7.50
cr
on
Fri,
Rs
6.50
cr
on
Sat
and
Rs
8.50
cr
on
Sun.
The
business
of
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
dropped
considerably
on
the
weekdays.
It
showed
approximately
37%
dip
in
its
collection.
On
its
weekdays,
the
movie,
which
is
said
to
have
been
made
at
Rs
20
crores,
has
raked
in
another
Rs
10
crores,
taking
its
seven-day
first
week
total
to
Rs
32
crore
nett
in
the
domestic
market.
Considering
its
budget,
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana
2
is
running
in
profit.
But
its
business
is
very
low,
when
looked
at
the
collection
of
its
prequel,
which
had
raked
in
Rs
28+
crores
nett
in
the
first
weekend.
The
film
has
failed
to
break
the
record
of
Yamla
Pagla
Deewana.
Trade
pandits
feel
that
its
business
will
be
completely
slowed
down
by
new
releases
in
the
second
week.
