2 States (3 Days) First Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's latest outing 2 States has packed a solid punch and done exceptionally well in the key international markets. The Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala-produced romantic comedy film has made fabulous collection at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. It has beaten the records of Arjun's Gunday in foreign countries like UK, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. It has also emerged as the biggest opener of 2014 in USA-Canada.

The movie 2 States has collected Rs 5.44 crores ($ 900,389) from 113 screens in the USA, Rs 76.14 lakhs (US$ 125,964) from 18 screens in Canada, Rs 3.93 crores (AED 2,387,450) in the UAE, Rs 2.12 crores (£ 208,579) from 63 screens in the UK, Rs 1 crore (A$ 177,502) from 16 screens in Australia, Rs 35.52 lakhs (NZ$ 68,572) from 11 screens in New Zealand and Rs 5.97 lakhs (MYR 32,156) from 1 screen in the Malaysia Box Office in the first weekend.

Bollywood Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#2States has done incredible business in intl arena. Crossed *wknd biz* of #Gunday in UK, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia. Source: Rentrak." He added, "#2States has emerged the biggest opener of 2014 [so far] in USA-Canada. AWESOME! Source: Rentrak."

Directed by Abhishek Verman, 2 States has collected approximately Rs 13.66 crores nett from 400 screens at the Overseas Box Office in the first weekend. The movie has raked in Rs 38.06 crores nett from 2000 screens in the domestic market. The Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film has raked in Rs 51.72 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in three days.
