2 States Collection Crosses Rs 50 Crore Mark At Indian Box Office

Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Bollywood movie 2 States has continued its victory march in the domestic market on weekdays too. The Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala-produced big-ticket film has done fabulous collection at the Indian Box Office and surpassed Rs 50 crore mark in five days. It has become the sixth movie to achieve this magical number in 2014 after Jai Ho, Gunday, Queen, Ragini MMS 2 and Main Tera Hero.

Having received superb opening on April 18, 2 States has collected Rs 38.06 crores nett in the domestic market in the first weekend. On Monday, the Abhishek Verman-directed film showed more than 50% drop in its business and it went further down on Tuesday. It has collected Rs 50.03 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in five days. Its breakup is Rs 12.42 cr on Fri, Rs 12.13 cr on Sat, Rs 13.51 cr on Sun, Rs 6.17 cr on Mon and Rs 5.80 cr on Tue.

The film 2 States has two days left to complete the first week at the ticket counters. Trade experts predict that it would collect another Rs 9 to 10 crores, taking its seven-day domestic total to Rs 60 crores. It will race towards 100 crore mark in its second week. It should be seen whether it would achieve this magical number and become second Rs 100 crore grosser in 2014 After Jai Ho.
