Bhoothnath Returns First Weekend Collection At Overseas Box Office

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan's latest Bhoothnath Returns has received wonderful response in the domestic market, but the movie has failed to do the same in the key international business centers. The sequel to Bhoothnath has made an average collection at the Overseas Box Office in first weekend and its three-day business is far below the expected mark.

Having released in 200+ screens in the different foreign countries, Bhoothnath Returns has raked in Rs 46.31 lakhs ($ 76,929) from 45 screens in the USA, Rs 6.58 lakhs ($ 10.921) from 5 screens in Canada, Rs 1.70 crores (1,031,391 AED) in UAE, Rs 61.91 lakhs (61,353 £) from 41 screens in the UK, Rs 9.48 lakhs (16,683 A$) from 8 screens in Australia, Rs 7.75 lakhs (14,819 NZ$) from 4 screens in New Zealand and Rs 1.55 lakhs (8,334 MYR) from 1 screen in Malaysia in three days.

Bhoothnath Returns has collected Rs 3.05 crores nett ($ 504,446) at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. Considering its huge screen count, its performance looks very poor in the international market. The movie has landed in the second place, while Allu Arjun's Telugu movie Race Gurram, which has collected Rs 5.08 crores ($ 844,101) from 66 screens at the USA Box Office, topped the international business chart.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Bhoothnath Returns ha minted Rs 18. 02 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the first weekend days and its three day global total stands at Rs 21.07 crores nett. The movie has been successful in recovering 50% of its production cost in its opening weekend.
